1. Congrats to our fabulous four Otters who qualified and competed in the Junior Olympics Bill Rose Classic swim meet in Elk Grove over the weekend!

We are so so proud of these Otters who swam hard, had fun and soaked up this amazing experience while being an encouraging role model for their peers! Way to represent Orland!💙🤞🏾

2. Practice this week is for the 53 registered NVAL champs swimmers only. 🕐

3. Lawn Meeting and Stroke & Turn Practice for all swimmers going to NVALS Monday 7/24 @7pm. The board will be spray bleaching the black t shirts prior to the meeting, without kiddos around. Wish us luck 🤞🏾

4. NVAL Carbload dinner & Spirit Swag/ Craft Wednesday 7/26 at the OHS Multipurpose room @6pm. Please sign up on Swimtopia for your potluck contribution. Please bring a PHOTO📸 of your child to cut out their face for an Otter craft we will be making that evening to hang up at our canopies at NVALS. 

5. Awards Banquet Family Pool Party Wednesday 8/2 @ 6pm, hopefully by the pool weather permitting. Please sign up on Swimtopia. Last chance for a couple more parent hours. 🏆

6. $250 Parent hours checks will be cashed on 8/3. Otters Board sent an email to the 19 families who have not yet completed their 20 hours for checks to be cashed. There are still timing shifts to be filled at NVALS all 3 days plus hours on job sign ups at the banquet with 1st priority to those who need the hours. 💸

7. Open board positions! We will have 4 open positions and absolutely NEED 4 Officials if we would like to have a competitive team next year that brings home ribbons, medals, and trophies for our children. We were very lucky to have parents who no longer have Otter swimmers attach to our team in order for our team of 131 swimmers to place at the swim meets, but we may not be so fortunate next year with a growing team.
