Happy Sunday Otter Fam!

A BIG congrats to Reese Zuppan taking 1st place high point for Boys 9-10 and Ayden Champagne-Meredyk for scoring 2nd place for Boys 13-14. Incredible swimming by all 7 Otters (and 2 Willows Hydrojets) that our head Coach Mikayla Champagne coached in Susanville this weekend at Lassen Volcanoes very 1st Lava Flow Invitational. The weather was perfect and the Volcanoes hospitality was superb! Way to go, GLENN COUNTY SWIMMERS!  Also to our Otters Officials in Training a big thank you to Ruby & Josh Neumann and Michelle Dobbs for making the trek up to beautiful Lassen County to get their deck sessions as a big step to be Officially Official by our own Otters in Paris Invitational held July 20 & 21st. Officials are required to represent a team for our swimmers to be eligible to obtain awards from Invitationals. If you're interested in ensuring the longevity of our 130+ seasonal team, please let us know if you would like info/guidance on how to become an Official! Our very own Stroke and Turn Official expert, Julie Champagne-Meredyk is an excellent resource and assisted as an admin operator to help run this meet this weekend. Thank you, Julie!

A huge thank you to the parents and friends/family members of Otters volunteering in our 4th of July Fireworks Booth in the SavMor parking lot. If you're looking to buy some safe and sane fireworks to celebrate Independence Day with your loved ones, please be sure to drop by our booth for your purchase.  A percentage of every sale goes back to the Otters to ensure we have sufficient funds to secure our next season.  We still have several unfilled shifts (and several no shows unfortunately) and hope you are able to help us fill these slots so we do not have to close: In order of MOST importance.

Bill Rose Classic Junior Olympics (J.O.'s) are right around the corner (July 11-14) in Elk Grove, CA and at least 5 of our Otters have swam an invitational race with a qualifying JO time as noted in the chart linked here.

We sure hope to see you at a Monday Lawn Meeting! We will be out front of the pool tomorrow at 7PM (during Stroke and Turn), please bring a chair and help us plan our Otters In Paris Invitational.
